Bamboo Nutra Brings Bellator Light Heavyweight Champion Emanuel Newton and MMA Super Star Cheick Kongo To CHOC

Newport Beach, Calif. (April 15, 2014) – Global health supplement and lifestyle company Bamboo Nutra has once again teamed with Bellator MMA for their “Champions Challenge” campaign by visiting the Children’s Hospital Of Orange County with MMA stars Emmanuel Newton and Cheick Kongo, Bellator CEO Bjorn Rebney, and acclaimed humanitarian Rex Crain.

Bamboo Nutra and Bellator recently launched a nationwide community outreach program called the “Champions Challenge” that has the two companies visiting schools and hospitals with a key message to young people to become a champion in their everyday lives while doing something each day to help others in their lives.

This latest “Champions Challenge” visit took place Monday, April 14th with visits to young people at the Children’s Hospital of Orange County.

“Today was just an incredible day here at the Children’s Hospital of Orange County,” Crain said. “To see the smiles of these kids’ faces is really a special sight. The parents are excited, the hospital staff is excited, and in the midst of the struggle and setbacks these families are dealing with, if we can offer just a few minutes of positivity, it’s a homerun for everyone involved.”

“It’s a privilege to be able to spend time with the kids at the Children’s Hospital of Orange County,” Rebney said. “When you walk into that room with Champions like Emanuel Newton and Cheick Kongo and you see faces light up, it puts everything in perspective.  This is a spectacular program that Bamboo Nutra’s created and a key example of the altruism that great companies can exhibit.
