Albuquerque, NM. (January 9, 2014) – Triple A MMA executives announced today that Charles Byrd has pulled out of his Triple A MMA IV ‘Caged Hostility’ main event bout against Mike Bronzoulis. Brandon Farran has stepped in on short notice to take on the Fight Master reality star. Triple AMMA IV ‘Caged Hostility’ will take place on January 16, 2014 at the historic Cowtown Coliseum Stockyards Rodeo in Forth Worth, TX.

According to Sal Mora, Director of Operations and Match Maker for Triple A MMA, “According to his camp, Byrd suddenly came down with ‘flu like’ symptoms and therefore had to pull out of his bout with Bronzoulis. Yet shortly after we learned that Byrd had committed to a bout on another Texas promotions card, an event set for February. As a result of our findings, we have filed a complaint with the TDLR and are working towards a resolution, be it by a suspension or buyout of some sort. It’s unfortunate, but a situation we sometimes face in combat sports.

Mora went on to say, “On a positive note, we are very happy with our new headliner. It is a compelling match-up that we feel has fight of the night potential. Fans won’t be disappointed!”

Following his recent loss to Joe Riggs on the Fight Master Finale, Mike Bronzoulis is focused on paving his road to redemption. He plans to stack his fight record with notable wins over worthy opponents in 2014, starting with Farran. He is thankful that Farran stepped up and is looking forward to an exciting main event showdown.

Bronzoulis had this to say, “I don’t know why Byrd pulled out of our fight, but I think it was very unprofessional of him to do it just a week before the event. I’m extremely excited that Farran stepped up and took the fight on short notice. Farran is a true warrior and definitely a worthy opponent. I can guarantee you this will be one hell of a battle! I respect Brandon and I’m thankful he took the fight, but only one can win this battle and I plan to have my hand raised at the end of the night. Let’s do this!”

Farran (10-8) is a hard-hitting slugger out of Abilene, TX with a strong boxing background who is looking to kick off the New Year with a KO over his reality star opponent, a statement that will certainly prove he is a force to be reckoned with in the Welterweight division. This bout is expected to be a full out war from start to finish. Fans won’t want to miss it!
