Finney’s MMA Fighter Luis “Sapo” Santos Clinches Eighth Straight Win at Bellator Debut

St. Louis, MO. – May 26, 2011 – Finney’s MMA and Finney’s HIT Squad, both highly touted martial arts gyms in St. Louis Missouri, continue to turn out top-ranked fighters with winning records at both the amateur and professional level. Finney’s MMA added another notable win to the fight team’s already impressive record over the weekend, when Luis “Sapo” Santos clinched a unanimous decision victory over Nicolae Cury at Bellator 45 in Lake Charles, Louisiana.

Santos, now (49-6-0), dominated at his Bellator Fighting Championships debut and will no doubt continue to rock the organizations welterweight division. Santos, now riding an eight fight win streak, is undefeated thus far in 2011. Santos has not lost a bout since 2009. His victory over Cury was not only his eighth straight win; it was the 48th recorded win of his fight career (at total of 69 wins if you include non-recorded victories.)

According to Finney’s MMA and Finney’s Hit Squad owner Jesse Finney, “Santos is considered by many to be one of the best welterweight fighters in the world. He is an extremely aggressive and skilled fighter with raw talent and a great deal of heart. He will continue to go far in this sport and we are honored to have him as part of our team.”

Finney’s MMA and Finney’s HIT Squad collectively offer one of the most comprehensive, well-rounded, training programs in the fight industry and have become the training centers of choice for many elite athletes. Both professional and amateur athletes on Finney’s fight team have access to everything they need to advance their careers including top-of-the-line equipment, unparalleled training, housing, and top-level representation through Elite MMA Management.

Finney also offers on-site and off -site housing to members of the fight team, a highly sought after amenity that most MMA gyms do not offer. Fighters travel from as far as Ireland, England, and even Japan to participate in the program. On-campus housing is a mere 20 yards away from the gym. Pro fighters on the team pay as little as $199 per month to live on campus and train at the facilities (this includes utilities and internet access.)

Jesse Finney is actively pursuing high level professional fighters right now. To find out more about the fighter program or to submit your fight resume for consideration, please email Jesse Finney directly at jesse@finneysmma.com.
