Evolution Combat Sports Championship Presents: FRIDAY NIGHT FIGHTS

Evolution Combat Sports Championship, a Clovis based mixed martial arts fight organization, recently raised the bar for MMA promotions in the state of New Mexico with “Evolution 1.” The event showcased some of the Southwest’s top MMA talent, attracting fans throughout the state of New Mexico and Texas. Leonard Garcia, Clay Guida, and Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone were also in attendance. The promotions next event, “Evolution Combat Sports Championship Presents: FRIDAY NIGHT FIGHTS” will take place on January 7th at the Clovis Civic Center in Clovis, New Mexico. According to Martin Singleterry, president of Evolution Combat Sports Championship, “We have big plans for 2011 and can’t wait to kick off the New Year with the first of many “FRIDAY NIGHT FIGHTS”, a new component of Evolution Combat Sports Championship. The Friday night series will feature smaller shows at more intimate venues. It is a series that will complement our bigger shows and allow us to reach our goal of hosting a minimum of one MMA show per month.” The January “FRIDAY NIGHT FIGHTS” event will showcase elite amateur and pro fighters hailing from New Mexico and the great state of Texas. Which state will prove to have the most dominant fighters? Fans will find out on January 7th when contenders from New Mexico and Texas go head to head. The main event features a compelling heavyweight match up between New Mexico’s own Tyler “The Beast” East representing Jackson’s MMA and Amarillo’s Josh “The Lunatic” Luna of Hybrid Combat. In the co-main event Jackson MMA’s Heather Clark will collide with One MMA’s April Coutiño Josh “The Lunatic” Luna (6-3-0) is a heavy handed fighter known for finishing his opponents in the first round. The Evolution Combat Sports Championship veteran and Texas fan favorite is coming off of a first round TKO victory over Jeremiah Constant.
