With UFC 122 out of the way (and with Yushin Okami earning a title shot at either Anderson Silva or Vitor Belfort, pending the result of the UFC Middleweight Title match at UFC 127), the world of mixed martial arts now turns toward this weekend’s Light Heavyweight showdown between two former UFC champions, Lyoto Machida and Quinton “Rampage” Jackson. The event would appear to be an elimination bout for the number one contender, however, UFC President Dana White told MMA Junkie that “the fight has to happen first (before I decide).”

UFC 123 takes place this Saturday, November 20th on pay-per-view and originates from the Palace of Auburn Hills just outside Detroit. The co-main event features a rubber match between UFC Legends B.J. Penn and Matt Hughes.
