It appears that UFC 113 in Montreal (headlined by the anticipated Mauricio “Shogun” Rua vs. Lyoto Machida rematch) is getting snake-bitten once again, so to speak. David “The Crow” Loiseau was set to make his return to the UFC octagon on May 8th in Montreal but, apparently, the middleweight veteran had to be pulled from a rumored match with John Salter as the Quebec Athletic Commission denied his fight license.
Loiseau (19-9), a Montreal-native and former 185-pound contender, was fighting in place of the injured Nick Catone against Salter (4-1) late last week, but the UFC never officially announced the bout. Now, the organization is left to scramble for another last minute replacement. The reason for Loiseau’s removal has not been disclosed.
