UFC Featherweight Contender Frankie Edgar to Serve as Ambassador
New York, NY – GLORY, the world’s premier kickboxing league, today announced Parx Casino, the largest casino gaming complex in Pennsylvania, as the official weigh-in site for GLORY 33 New Jersey and GLORY 33 SuperFight Series.
On Thursday, Sept. 8, Parx Casino’s sprawling entertainment complex will play host to the athletes of GLORY 33 New Jersey and GLORY 33 SuperFight Series as they step on the scale before entering the GLORY ring on Friday night.
Open to the public and streamed live via the GLORY Facebook page starting at 8 p.m. ET, the weigh-ins will feature all 18 fighters competing on the two cards including reigning Heavyweight World Champion Rico “The King of Kickboxing” Verhoeven and reigning Middleweight World Champion Simon”Bad Bwoy” Marcus.
Beginning at 7 p.m. ET on Thursday, Sept. 8, former UFC lightweight champion and current UFC featherweight contender Frankie “The Answer” Edgar will be on hand to meet and greet fans inside 360, Parx Casino’s sleek bar and live entertainment space.
Following the meet and greet, where autographs and photos will be available, Edgar will serve as ambassador to the GLORY 33 New Jersey and GLORY 33 SuperFight Series weigh-ins, introducing the athletes and kicking off the event at 8 p.m. ET.
Located 20 minutes north of center city Philadelphia and 20 minutes west of Trenton, NJ – where Sun National Bank Center will host GLORY 33 New Jersey and GLORY 33 SuperFight Series on Friday, Sept. 9 – Parx Casino features over 200,000 square feet of gaming; 3,500 slot machines; 130 live table games; a premier poker room with 80 poker tables; live racing and simulcast action.
On Friday, Sept. 9, GLORY 33 New Jersey will be carried live on ESPN2 at 11 p.m. ET, while GLORY 33 SuperFight Series will stream live and exclusively on UFC Fight Pass at 8:30 p.m. ET.
